We are Jason and Carla DeBoer, millennial parents of two precious little ones living and loving life in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Jason is a skilled sheet metal project foreman for a local union sheet metal shop.  Carla is a Principal in the compliance department of a local securities broker/dealer.  Together, we strive to teach our children our belief that life is about love, learning, hard work, and appreciation of nature.  To that end, both of us share a love of working with our hands.

Carla has always loved to draw, but she is passionate about and enjoys creating all types of artwork.  Her favorite types of media are chalk, oil pastel, and acrylic paints.  Recently, Carla was a Featured Artist at both the 2016 Chalk the Walk in Mount Vernon, Iowa and at the 2016 Cedar Rapids Murals & More annual silent auction fundraiser.

Jason is a jack-of-all-trades with the technical know-how to get things done, DIY-style.  In addition to his welding and unit installation expertise, Jason has extensive experience in CAD design, and he has done almost every project involved in remodeling a home himself.

Recently, we decided to put our shared ingenuity together to begin creating home decor from reclaimed pallet wood.  In a market inundated with prefabricated, stenciled, decal art, we aim for our pieces to have more of a signature, custom feel.  To accomplish that goal, all lettering and art imagery is hand drawn and painted, and all pallet wood is reclaimed, custom-stained or painted, and assembled for your unique piece.
